We are working jointly with local practices to provide the vaccination service on their behalf. As a result of this your information will be shared with us if you are eligible for the vaccine. This information will be shared to support your direct care. Those working at the local vaccination service will only normally have access to the information which they need to fulfil their roles.
When it is the right time for you to receive your vaccination, you will receive an invitation to come forward. This invitation may be via the phone, text, or through a letter. The invitation may not be sent from your GP, it may be from us or the NHS directly.
We know lots of people will be keen to get protected from the virus but we are asking people not to contact your practice to get an appointment as you will not be able to get an appointment until you are contacted directly.
When you attend for your vaccination we will collect relevant information to ensure we can provide this to you safely. Information about your vaccination will be entered onto a national monitoring system operated by NHS England. This will also ensure details of your vaccination are shared with your practice.
